Ms. Tompaku is a corporate and intellectual property attorney who advises clients on a wide range of transactional, technology, and data-driven matters. She brings a cross-border perspective to her practice, with experience advising clients in both the United States and India across industries including technology, media and entertainment, gaming, manufacturing, retail, and healthcare.
Ms. Tompaku regularly advises startups, growth-stage companies, and established businesses on corporate structuring, commercial transactions, and intellectual property strategy. Her practice includes drafting and negotiating a broad range of agreements, including master services agreements, licensing agreements, technology development agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and terms and conditions. She also advises clients on data privacy and data usage frameworks, including data processing agreements and cross-border data transfer considerations.
With a strong background in media, entertainment, and technology law, Ms. Tompaku has worked closely with digital media companies and gaming platforms on intellectual property portfolio management, content-related agreements, and regulatory compliance. Her prior in-house experience enables her to provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions tailored to client needs.
Prior to joining Garcia Rainey Blank & Bowerbank LLP, Ms. Tompaku served as Of Counsel with the firm, where she advised on general corporate and intellectual property matters and supported litigation matters, including legal research, drafting motions, and assisting with case strategy. She also gained experience at SRIPLAW, focusing on intellectual property-related work, and at NuMedia Studios, where she worked on entertainment and media law matters.
Before moving to the United States, Ms. Tompaku was a licensed attorney in India, where she practiced in both law firm and in-house settings, advising on investment transactions, commercial agreements, employment law, and intellectual property matters.
Ms. Tompaku received her LL.M. from UCLA School of Law, with a specialization in Business Laws and Media, Entertainment, Technology, and Sports Law and Policy.
