Of Counsel

Professional Highlights

Ms. Wolf represents companies of all sizes at the state and federal level.  Some of her representative matters include the following:

  • Successfully defended a general construction company sued by a former employee for wrongful termination and disability discrimination, and other claims.  After Ms. Wolf deposed the plaintiff, the case quickly settled for a nominal amount without mediation.
  • Successfully represented a software company in a lawsuit filed by a former employee for sex discrimination, sex harassment, defamation, wrongful termination, retaliation, breach of contract, and breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing.  Obtained summary judgment in favor of the company on six of the seven claims, which promptly led to a favorable settlement.
  • Obtained a workplace violence protective order at a contested hearing on behalf of a multinational agricultural company against a former employee, who threatened violence against a worker on company property.
  • Successfully represented a large beverage distributor in a national origin discrimination, disability discrimination, and wrongful termination case.  Ms. Wolf conducted an internal investigation and discovery, including deposing third-party witnesses and defense expert witnesses.  Ms. Wolf also assisted lead counsel with obtaining a partial summary judgment ruling in favor of the company and the remaining claims settled before trial.
  • Successfully represented a nationwide retail company in a wrongful termination and disability discrimination case brought by a former employee.  Ms. Wolf managed the entire case, including interviewing witnesses, taking plaintiff’s deposition, attending mediation, and negotiating an early and favorable settlement.
  • Represented various companies in the defense of workers’ compensation retaliation (Labor Code section 132a) claims and obtained favorable settlements.
  • Successfully represented real estate investors in a governmental investigation.

Ms. Wolf also has significant trial experience as a former prosecutor of the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.  Ms. Wolf continues to apply her trial skills in civil matters, both at depositions and in court.  She recently defended an individual client at a bench trial on breach of contract and fraud claims and obtained a full defense judgment.  The plaintiff attempted to challenge the judgment with two appeals and Ms. Wolf successfully defended the judgment in both instances.
