In a highly contentious dispute spanning several years, John Bowerbank negotiated a favorable settlement agreement during a mediation with Hon. Gail Andler, a former Orange County Superior Court judge who now works for JAMS ADR services. Given the other side’s long history of non-compliance with agreements, John had the legal foresight to negotiate a clause wherein Judge Andler (Ret.) would arbitrate any dispute regarding the settlement agreement. Sure enough, buyer’s remorse hit the other side hard. After they tried to change the deal, John submitted the dispute to Judge Andler who ultimately issued an arbitration award which adopted substantially all of John’s legal arguments asserted in the arbitration briefing.
