Lead Trial Attorney Norma García Guillén and Partner Jeffrey M. Blank Win Decisive Liability Jury Verdict After Six-Week Trial in Orange County

Fullerton, CA — March 20, 2026 — After a six-week trial, an Orange County jury returned a decisive liability verdict in favor of Garcia Rainey Blank & Bowerbank LLP’s clients, finding Defendants liable for breach of oral and implied-in-fact contracts, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and quantum meruit arising from a 2013 real estate joint venture.

The jury also rejected a cross-claim for intentional infliction of emotional distress against one of GRBB’s clients, and the Court granted GRBB’s motion for nonsuit on a civil extortion cross-claim.

“We are gratified that the jury carefully reviewed the evidence,” said Norma García Guillén, lead trial counsel for the Chamberlains. “This verdict affirms our clients’ rightful interests and is a meaningful step toward full accountability and resolution.”

Plaintiffs and Cross-Defendant are represented by Norma García Guillén and Jeffrey M. Blank of Garcia Rainey Blank & Bowerbank LLP, along with co-counsel Gregory S. Page. Defendants and Cross-Complainant are represented by Jeff Chemerinsky and Zachary Glaser of Kendall Brill & Kelly LLP.
